 MLK Advancing the Dream Celebration

The Arlington Martin Luther King, Jr."Advancing the Dream" Celebration is January 15-18, 2016. As one of the largest celebrations in the state, this four-day event has consistently attracted thousands of Arlington area residents each year. This will be the 27th year the Arlington Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee has hosted the celebration.

This celebratory weekend begins with the kick-off event, the Advancing the Dream Banquet that will be held Friday, January 15th at 6:30 p.m. in the Bluebonnet Ballroom on the campus of UT Arlington.

The Arlington MLK Day of Service will take place on Monday, January 18, 2016. The Celebration Committee is planning to involve hundreds of volunteers in making a difference in the City of Arlington on this national holiday. Individual volunteers & volunteer groups can sign up on the event's website, www.ArlingtonMLK.com.

On the day of service all volunteers will meet at Arlington City Hall, 101 W. Abram Street, at 9:00 am for their assignments and light refreshments. The first 150 volunteers will receive a MLK T-Shirt commemorating the 2016 Arlington MLK Celebration.
