Dog Wash Fundraiser To Benefit Homeless Animals Set in Arlington This Saturday

Pamper your pooch and get his or her picture taken at a special fundraising event this weekend in Arlington.

The Big Blue Dog is rolling into town and partnering with Arlington Animal Services as part of a national "Bathe to Save" campaign to raise awareness on the benefits of animal adoption, including senior and special needs pets. A dog wash fundraiser and adoption event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. February 27, 2016 in the parking lot of PetSmart in the Arlington Highlands Shopping Center, 203 East Interstate 20 in Arlington.

Participants can meet lovable dogs available for adoption. Other activities include a dog wash, "Pennies for Paws", a pet photographer, raffle, food trucks, "doggie bags" with treats and coupons from local business partners and other fund-raising items.

Suggested donations range from $10 and up. All proceeds will benefit homeless animals being cared for by Arlington Animal Services.

This fun-filled event is perfect for dogs of all shapes and sizes who play nicely, love to hang with the gang, enjoy treats and who would enjoy getting cleaned and fluffed. For more information on the Bathe to Save campaign, visit www.facebook.com/bathetosave.
