Volunteers Clean Up 171 Bags of Trash From Lake Arlington

Nearly 170 volunteers picked up 171 bags of trash on April 2 during the annual Lake Arlington spring cleanup.

Volunteers also removed 34 tires as well as chairs, boards, fuel cans, recycling bins and other debris littering the lake and lake shore during the clean up event at Richard Simpson Park.

The goal of the event to improve the appearance of Lake Arlington and increase public awareness about how litter can affect water quality.
