There is great news for pet stores, feed and farm stores, and local veterinarians - Phillips Pet Food & Supplies is in town! An entourage of city officials welcomed the family-owned and operated business to Arlington at a ribbon-cutting ceremony, grand opening and tour of the facility on September 17, 2015 at 3900 New York Avenue. A host of the company's employees and vendors were present at the event. Animal Services Manager Chris Huff and staff graciously accepted the company's generous $10,000 pet food donation for the shelter that coincided with North Texas Giving Day.

Phillips Pet Food & Supplies began as a single feed store in Pennsylvania, and has grown into a nationwide distribution operation with facilities coast to coast. Company CEO, Blaine Phillips with 32 years of experience in the industry, is a third generation family member to carry on the tradition of running and growing the business since it began in 1938. The company's newest location in Arlington will service Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Arlington Fire Department Deputy Fire Marshals, Darin Niederhaus and Morkita Anthony were present along with canine service dogs Jasper and Bindi. The two K9s were invited to "sniff out" a toy of choice and afterwards, each responded in playful appreciation.

Phillips Pet Food & Supplies VP of Marketing Jessica Farina-Morris said the company was happy to make the donation to Animal Services and that they share our passion for responsible pet ownership.

Huff was pleased to accept the donations on behalf of Animal Services, as well as the community, and is happy to have Phillips Pet Food & Supplies as one of the shelter's newest community partners.
