Arlington Public Library is offering a unique event for photography enthusiasts; The Story Behind the Photos with Don Smarto. Award-winning photographer, author, and radio host Don Smarto has taken photos around the country, meeting interesting people along the way. Now he's coming to the Southwest branch library on Saturday, September 19, 2015 to exhibit some of his work. The event will be from 1 to 3 p.m and is open to everyone.

Take this opportunity to view Smarto's huge array of color photos and hear a mix of history and human interest stories. The photographer will also be offering practical tips for taking better photos - including with a phone camera!

Don will discuss the techniques used for photographing plants and flowers, animals, people, and structures and design elements. Enjoy beautiful pictures and learn tips on how to improve your own photography skills.
