Beginning this weekend, music lovers visiting Levitt Pavilion Arlington will have a chance to enjoy a variety upgrades designed to improve the fan experience.

Levitt Pavilion Arlington has partnered with Time Warner Cable to provide WiFi service on concert days and every day.

With fans in mind, "TWCWiFi" is designed to deliver fast and reliable Internet access to any WiFi-enabled device, including laptops, smartphones or tablets, during the Green Mountain Energy Fall Concert Series that runs Sept. 4 - Oct. 11.

"Adding WiFi capability at Levitt Pavilion Arlington has been a priority for a number of years," said Levitt Pavilion Executive Director Patti Diou. "We decided to make a major commitment to WiFi service, and partnered with Time Warner Cable to deliver a solution that will enhance the concert day experience for all in attendance."

Fans can connect free for 1 hour daily by accepting the company's terms and conditions. To get extended access they can purchase an access pass, or if they are a Time Warner Cable Internet customer, they can sign in with their TWC ID and get unlimited access. To connect, users should first be sure the WiFi setting on their device is "on" and select the "TWCWiFi" network name from wireless network options. Then they simply open a browser, and follow prompts either as a Customer or Guest, for complimentary TWC WiFi provided at the event.

Additional upgrades

Thanks to a generous grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, matched by the Mortimer & Mimi Levitt Foundation, audiences will enjoy new lighting and sound systems, plus a Daktronics video screen.

The screen will be used to recognize Levitt sponsors and to promote upcoming concerts and events. When there are larger-than-normal crowds, the Levitt will be able to project the concert live for more people in the outlying areas to see it.

Last year an estimated 127,000 people attended concerts from eight countries, 45 states and 67 cities.

These initiatives connect to the Arlington City Council's "Put Technology to Work" priority.
