A new and exciting art project coming to The American Dream City is creating a buzz throughout North Texas.

Sponsored by the Arlington Museum of Art, "The Star of Texas" exhibit will feature 20 fabricated fiberglass stars positioned throughout Arlington's Cultural Arts District, Downtown and Entertainment District. The sculptures are individual pieces of art celebrating the city's new brand, Arlington: The American Dream City.

The $150,000 project was made possible by donations, including $50,000 each by the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and Women Inspiring Philanthropy.

Local artist Karen Foster and her partners at The Upstairs Gallery were selected to paint one of the sculptures, showcasing their very own interpretation of what the American Dream City means to them.

Listen to Karen Foster share her American Dream Story.
