EcoFest Arlington

EcoFest is back celebrating its seventh year this Saturday in Downtown Arlington at Founders Plaza. The free, fun event for the whole family lasts all day, with festivities kicking off at 10 a.m. and winding down at 10 p.m. Snag a free tree, enjoy live music and learn how you can reduce your consumption of natural resources with do-it-yourself projects. Chris Watson Band & Somebody's Darling at Levitt Pavilion

Green Mountain Energy's 2015 Fall Concert Series is the perfect ending to Ecofest. The Chris Watson Band takes the stage on Saturday at 6:30pm. This soulful, groove-driven and funky band has an old-school authenticity that pulls together listeners of all ages and walks of life.

Up after the Chris Watson Band is an inventive rock band from Dallas, Somebody's Darling. Amber Farris leads the vocals with an unrefined yet tender voice belting out blistering songs that command the attention of anyone within earshot. Both concerts are free.

Party on the Patio: Brad Thompson Band

Party on the Patio, which features live music by Dallas/Fort Worth musical acts, introduces the Brad Thompson Band at Tierra Verde Golf Club tonight from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Bring the entire family out for live music, great food and cold drinks. There is a $7 cover for adults 18 and over. Kids seventeen and younger get in free. Cover includes a buffet meal at Ventana Grille, and there will be a cash bar with drinks available for purchase. The Write Stuff Writing Workshop

Is writers block getting the best of you? Come join writer and performer C.J. Critt, for a writing workshop at the Southwest Branch Library on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Critt will offer prompts to help get your book, short story or screenplay to the next level.
