 Streets Clean Throughout Arlington

The City of Arlington is working to keep streets clean for both residents and businesses throughout the 2016 fiscal year.

On October 27, 2015, during the evening session, Arlington City Council approved a contract for the Public Works Department for street sweeping services with Pannell Industries, Inc. in the estimated amount of $260,790.

The initial term of the contract is for one year, from October 27, 2015 to October 31, 2016.

This contract includes street sweeping services of 135 major intersections, Arlington Municipal Airport, Entertainment District and 1,604 miles of residential streets.

One of 12 residential street sweeping regions will be serviced each month.

The contract also includes street sweeping services after special events, storms and in the case of emergencies.

Several of the services in the contract scope are required for compliance with the City's Texas Pollution Discharge Elimination Systems (TPDES) Permit and supplement the street sweeping performed by the Department of Public Works & Transportation.
