The holiday season has officially arrived in The American Dream City.

An approximately 50-foot blue spruce Christmas tree made its way from Michigan to City Hall Tuesday morning, November 24, 2015. Ellen Stubbs, the parade coordinator, says it's the tallest tree to date in Arlington.

In keeping with tradition, the official lighting ceremony will be Saturday, December 5, 2015 immediately after the Arlington Holiday Lights Parade.

Mayor Jeff Williams has flip-the-switch honors, along with Santa Claus. This year's parade will begin at 6 p.m., with entertainment in various parts of downtown, starting at 2 p.m.

More information about the parade, and a complete list of sponsors, can be found at www.holidaylightsparade.com.
