The ribbon has been cut for Justice League: Battle for Metropolis 4D at Six Flags Over Texas in The American Dream City!

Park President Steve Martindale made the announcement official today, with the help of Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

Battle for Metropolis features six-passenger vehicles, 18 screens, lifelike animatronics, cutting edge special effects and 4D video.

It doesn't open to the public until Saturday, May 23, 2015. However, Gold Pass Holders can exclusively ride on Thursday, May 21, followed by all Season Pass Holders on Friday, May 22.

"We've been working on this ride for about a year and half," Martindale said.

"It's exciting to finally be able to see people's faces and their excitement after riding Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. It's the first time all of these different ride technologies have come together."
