Goldilocks

The CATS (Creative Arts Theatre & School) production of" Goldilocks" by Matt Casarino opens May 8 at the CATS Black Box, 602 E. South Street.

The show, designed for younger audiences and performers, will play two weekends, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm, and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm.

Tickets are $8-$10 and are available at www.creativearts.org or by calling 817-861-2287. All patrons, including babies and toddlers, must purchase a ticket. No" lap children" permitted.

In this comic spin on the classic fairy tale, Goldilocks is once again confronted by The Three Bears, plus Joe, the Bears" species exchange student. From Goldilocks" house to the Bears" home and back again, a slew of fairy tale characters cross Goldilocks" path to give advice and tell their tales. This fresh adaptation teaches young audiences the meaning of responsibility through its clever, upbeat dialogue and audience participation. This show is great for the whole family.

Director Melanie Lewis, along with her design team, is giving the quirky script a" hipster vibe," and audiences should expect broad silliness. Presented by an all-youth cast, this short comedy will delight audiences. As a special treat, Saturday night audiences will also see a short musical performance by CATS" touring group, Caleidoscope.
