Arlington Museum of Art is paying homage to Paris' famed Le Chat Noir cafe by turning its amphitheater into a jazz and performance cafe this Saturday, July 25, 2015.
The event provides people in The American Dream City with a fun, relaxing day of music and other performance art, a la the bohemian Montmartre district of Paris.
During regular museum hours, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the museum will host performance artists, who will be scheduled throughout the day.
Between the scheduled performers, the museum encourages Arlington residents and visitors to participate as well.
The museum asks musicians to bring their guitar, ukulele, harmonica, or any instrument that can be carried in and out of the museum.
Guests can also get up on our stage and recite their own family-friendly compositions, or pour through the books of 19th and 20th century French poetry we will have on hand and select a piece and make it your own.
Arlington Museum of Art will be serving coffee, a variety of teas, cookies, pastries and other sweets.
All guests will enjoy a reduced admission price of $4, and as always, children 12 and under, and members are free.
Guests will also be able to come and go throughout the day.
