What an epic comeback!

The No. 8 Michigan State Spartans (11-2) scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to beat the No. 5 Baylor Bears 42-41 in the highest-scoring Cotton Bowl ever.

Baylor (11-2) entered the fourth quarter of the 79th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic leading 41-21, yet Michigan State was able to seize the momentum and dominate the final 15 minutes.

Fans roared when the Spartans blocked a late field goal to set up the winning touchdown, a 10-yard TD from Connor Cook to Keith Mumphrey with 17 seconds left.

Baylor still had time for one last try, but Baylor QB Bryce Petty threw an interception to end any hopes of a last-second miracle.

The next big game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington will be the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday, January 12. No. 2 Oregon will play against No. 4 Ohio State.
