Sean Gillen is being recognized as the January Volunteer of the Month for the City of Arlington's Teen Court.

Since the Teen Court Program was re-established in 2007, both teen and adult volunteers have helped the program thrive.

Gillen, a senior at Nolan Catholic High School, is being recognized as an exceptional teen volunteer that has dedicated many Tuesday evenings helping the success of the Teen Court Program.

He is a prosecuting attorney for the state against our teen defendants and has helped recruit other teens to volunteer for the program. Sean also trains new attorneys interested in the judicial system.

Before becoming involved in Teen Court, Sean volunteered for the Arlington Animal Services Center.

His interests include law enforcement, fishing, shooting and anything outdoors. Sean is also a writer for his high school's newspaper, catholic365.com.
