Texas Christkindl Market

Today is your last day to check out the Texas Christkindl Market, one of the largest open-air markets in the Southwest! Inspired by Arlington's relationship with its German sister city, Bad Königshofen, the market is in its fifth year at Globe Life Park. It features vendors, selling handmade goods, décor and ornaments, along with German food and drinks. Live music, a Kinder Market, and pictures with Santa are also part of the fun. Admission and parking are free, but various activities, including many in the Kinder Market, are for an additional charge. The market will be open Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from noon to 9 p.m. For more information, please visit Texas Christkindl Market's website.

Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, transforms into the "Cheer" capital this holiday season. For 30 years, Holiday in the Park has spread holiday joy to families. This year the tradition continues as this magical event shines even brighter. On select dates through January 3, 2016, SantaLand, the Holiday Tree of Trees Spectacular, The Frosty Snowhill, and more await guests during this memorable celebration. The seasonal fun doesn't stop there as five holiday shows, ranging from a Texas twist to a Victorian revue, will have guests singing and dancing along. After visitors catch a show, they can warm up at one of the six holiday campfires around the park, with a cup of hot cocoa, or with their own s'mores. Ringside: Memories of World Class Championship Wrestling Exhibit

The wrestlers. Their extravagant costumes. Overly exuberant fans yelling for their favorites. The referee who wasn't entirely necessary. The old-time arenas that smelled of sweat.
