The Lone Star Race Series has unveiled its courses for the inaugural Arlington Mayor's 5K, the 10K run and the half-marathon.

You can take a look at each course by clicking on the following enlarged maps:

The half-marathon takes place at 6:30 am, followed by the 10K at 7 am, the Mayor's 5K at 7:30 am and the after party at 8 am at Levitt Pavilion/Founders Plaza.

Event organizers expect more than 2,000 people to run this year's “Arlington Mayor's 5K,” which will feature a scenic route that runs through the University of Texas at Arlington.

All proceeds from the “Arlington Mayor's 5K” will help Ability Connection Texas provide exemplary service to current clients–children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. According to Ability Connection Texas, one in five people will experience a disability in their lifetime.

Race Director Shea Needham talked to the City about the courses residents and visitors can expect to see in Arlington on Sunday, April 26. You can watch her full interview by clicking on the YouTube video at the top of this article.
