Arlington to Host Open House Highlighting Flood Safety Awareness

In conjunction with America's PrepareAthon! Day, the City of Arlington's Stormwater Management Division will host a Flood Safety and Awareness Open House Thursday, April 30 for residents. This interactive event runs 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Learn more about your flood risk from stormwater engineers and receive information about being prepared for a flood. This will include providing flood risk determinations, base flood elevation information, flood insurance requirements and answers to general drainage questions.

See a floodway model plus displays featuring emergency disaster and safety kits. The first 100 attendees will receive a free disaster preparedness kit.
