The Academy of Country Music Awards is celebrating its 50th year this year with a bigger-than-ever show at AT&T Stadium right here in North Texas.

Though the ACMs have been around for a half-century, its signature award is newer: Entertainer of the Year has been handed out since 1970, when Merle Haggard won the inaugural award. Since then, it has been awarded to 21 other artists, with 10 winning more than once. Willie Nelson was one of the one-time-only winners. Same for Dolly Parton.
