Boots, wranglers and country music took over The American Dream City Friday in honor of the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards.

Kicking off the weekend’s festivities was the two-day annual ACM Party for a Cause Festival at Globe Life Park.

Thousands of cheering country music fans got up close and personal with many of today’s hottest artists, all while raising awareness and funds for worthy causes.

Many of the fans we spoke with were excited about Friday night’s concert on the main stage inside Globe Life Park, featuring special collaborations by some of this year’s ACM Award nominees and chart-topping artists. Saturday will feature even more great music and family fun.

A two-hour special including performances from this event is scheduled to air Friday, May 15 on CBS.

Don’t forget to watch Sunday’s live broadcast of the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The show, which is being co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, will air on CBS at 7:00 p.m. CT.
