Thanks to an ongoing partnership between the City of Arlington and UT Arlington Department of Communication, Arlington residents can learn more about the university by viewing new episodes of UTA Spotlight.

Students in the Broadcasting sequence at the university will tape a weekly news update that will include information about events, projects, announcements and other relevant material. That update, which will use students as the reporters and anchors, will then air on MyArlingtonTV, the City's cable channel.

This week's episode of UTA Spotlight features an update on campus renovations, an exclusive interview with the president of Excel and a look at ways students are able to save money while shopping.

The City of Arlington first started airing content during the spring 2014 semester.

The segments will run throughout the Fall semester on MyArlingtonTV, Time Warner Channel 16 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99.
