Courtyard Celebration

Celebrate the cultural diversity of the East Arlington community at this annual event for the whole family! Entertainment will include musical and dance performances by area artists and talent from local schools and organizations. This year's lineup includes the Bowie High School Ballet Folklorico,Rankin Singers,Tu Dam Lion Dance Group, Thornton Step Team and Ballet Folklorico. Returning for the fifth year will be Thornton Elementary Principal Alicia Rodriguez as master of ceremonies. Our National Anthem will be sung by Sam Houston High School students.

The East Arlington Renewal community organization will also present information and materials for their neighborhood improvement campaign, See Litter...Pick It Up. Visit the TechLiNK Mobile Computing Lab during the evening. This Library LiNK on wheels provides internet access and computer classes throughout the city in neighborhoods, at literacy program sites, schools and senior centers.

Activities will be staged on the courtyard in front of the library. In case of rain, the event will take place inside the library.
