Award

Thursday night, Arlington: The American Dream City was honored to receive the City Community Spotlight Award from the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association.

The Award "recognizes a community who advocates for the homebuilding industry and the consumer." Specifically, it highlights cities that think creatively to solve problems to community challenges.

Arlington City Manager Trey Yelverton accepted the award on behalf of the City.

"I believe this honor speaks to the culture we have created in Arlington," Yelverton said. "It starts with the leadership and direction provided by City Council and our Mayor, involves input from our Planning and Zoning Commission, and problem solving from the One Start Center. All of these things work hand-in-hand to create a climate in Arlington that encourages investment that creates positive growth and development."
