UTA Homecoming Parade & Pep Rally

Come out and celebrate UT Arlington's 2014 Homecoming Week! A pep rally gets underway on Saturday at 6:45 p.m. inside College Park Center. After the pep rally, the Mavericks take on Houston Baptist at 7:30 p.m. The men's basketball game at College Park Center will also feature the coronation of Homecoming King and Queen during halftime. The golf tournament and fireworks will be rescheduled because of rain.

Texas High School Football Playoffs

Are you ready for some football? The 2014 Texas High School Playoffs get underway Saturday at AT&T Stadium. General admission only, no reserved seating. All guests will enter through Entry C (via the AT&T Plaza on the east side of the stadium) or Entry H (via the Miller Lite Plaza on the west side of the stadium). Tickets are $10 at AT&T Stadium the day of event, $8 Adult/ $6 Student if purchased through school.

DFW Photo Expo 2014

If you love photography, the 4th annual DFW Photo Expo kicks off this weekend from November 22-23. You can choose from over 50 photography seminars for both new and experienced photographers. Located at the Arlington Convention Center on Ballpark Way, the event includes a "Photographic Playground", a free trade Show, ongoing demonstrations, and over $10,000 worth of door prizes. The DFW Photo Expo also features breakthrough products and some of the industry's leading trailblazers. Free to the public.

Adventure to Santa

Still need to get your picture with Santa? This holiday season, The Parks at Arlington is one of eight locations in the U.S. to feature "Adventure to Santa."The free storytelling experience is centered around Shrek characters and designed by Dreamworks Animation. "Adventure to Santa"is open to the public until Christmas Eve. Visitors can avoid lines and purchase discounted photo packages by making reservations on the mall's website.

Happy Holidays Gift Store

With Christmas a little more than a month away, Happy Holidays Gift Store offers handcrafted creations by local artisans and vintage finds from local collectors that will fill the middle gallery of the Arlington Museum of Art. The store has a wide range of items, including ceramics, framed and unframed art, jewelry, vintage finds, wood creations, Christmas decorations, handmade soaps and candles that make great gifts this time of year. Open until December 28.
