A Night with Nature

River Legacy Living Science Center invites you to support Phase 2 of the center's exhibit renovation. The third annual fundraising event includes cocktail appetizers, drinks, night nature hikes, animal explorations, live music and more. Friday, 7-10 p.m. Individual tickets cost $100. All proceeds benefit River Legacy Living Center's environmental education programs and exhibit renovation.

2nd annual Take A STAND-Break The Silence 10/5k run/walk

S.T.A.N.D Organization "Break the Silence" is hosting a 10/5k run/walk at River Legacy Park on Saturday to raise awareness for domestic violence, offering you the chance to get some exercise and support a good cause. Registration is from 6:45 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. on Saturday. 5k runners start at 8 a.m. 10k runners start at 8:05 a.m. and walkers begin at 8:10 a.m. at River Legacy Park. Click here to participate.

Ventana Grille's Inaugural Fish Fry

Looking to unwind on the golf course after a long work week? Head over to the Ventana Grille located inside the clubhouse of the Tierra Verde Golf Club for the inaugural Fish Fry event. Cod fish, hand-cut fries, coleslaw, hush puppies and banana pudding are all on the menu. Friday from 5-9 p.m. The Fish Fry is $9.95 per person (Kid's Meal - $6.95). "Scenes of the Nativity"

The holiday season is underway and there's a new art exhibit for you and your family to enjoy at the Arlington Museum of Art. Open now until Sunday, December 28th, "Scenes of the Nativity" tells the story of the Nativity through artwork by Rembrandt, Albrect Dürer, Peter Paul Rubens and several others. You can see the exhibit for a special admission price of $5.

UT Arlington vs. Missouri Valley College

It's time to support your Mavericks this weekend, as the women's basketball season kicks off Friday at College Park Center at UT Arlington. The Mavericks square off against Missouri Valley College in the home opener at 5 p.m. Doors open an hour earlier at 4 p.m. Single game tickets for the public range from $7 - $20. The game is just $3 for UTA students with Student ID. Get your tickets here.
