Graduation

The University of Texas at Arlington has an innovative offer for full-time students who earn their degree in four years: lock in today's tuition rate, receive rebates each year and save $2,000 or more off the cost of an undergraduate degree.

The Guaranteed Tuition Plan is distinct from many other similar plans because it allows undergraduates who meet key benchmarks to earn rewards as they progress toward graduation -$1,000 off tuition in their second and third year, and $2,000 off tuition their senior year.

Texas students also have the potential to earn an additional rebate of up to $1,000 through a separate statewide program.

"UT Arlington has a long-standing tradition of rewarding students for excellence and the efforts they make," President Vistasp M. Karbhari said. "We know that many of our students work while attending college, and this is a direct, financial benefit designed to encourage them and enable them to focus more time on their studies."

The University of Texas System Board of Regents avoided increases in standard undergraduate resident tuition this week, instead opting to supplement revenue to UT System universities through appropriations from the Available University Fund. Average undergraduate tuition for UT Arlington students enrolled in 12 semester credit hours or more for fall 2014 and spring 2015 will remain at $9,292.
