Travel Texas with Chet Garner, Host of ‘The Daytripper’

Texas travel expert and star of The Daytripper television program, Chet Garner, will make an Arlington appearance on Friday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the Bob Duncan Center, 2800 South Center Street.

Garner has traveled Texas from the tip of the Panhandle to the Piney Woods to the Rio Grande to the Gulf Coast and everywhere in between. He will discuss adventures in Texas travel, and talk about interesting places to see, fun things to do, and provide inside information on the best barbeque in Texas.

The Daytripper, winner of a 2013 Lone Star Chapter Regional Emmy® Award, airs on Saturday mornings on KERA, Channel 13. A recent episode featured Arlington as a destination. The Arlington episode premiered in May and is archived at The Daytripper.com. Garner will present fascinating and informative information about day trips in the area and answer questions from the audience about Texas travel. The program is sponsored by the Arlington Public Library and the City of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department. Admission is free of charge.
