Explore the Animals of Arlington

Take some time this Saturday to discover the habits and adaptations of one of the area's native animals during a live animal observation with a River Legacy Naturalist at River Legacy Living Science Center. The session begins at 2 p.m. Space is limited, so call 817-860-6752 to RSVP. The event is free, but donations are accepted.

For Kicks and Giggles

The Improv in Arlington opens its doors this Sunday for the PG crowd, bringing a variety of comedy, stand-up routines and magic all in one show. See two magicians put all their cards on the table (except for the ones up their sleeves) during the 2 p.m. family show. Doors open at 1 p.m. Tickets are $12. This show is suggested for ages four and older.

Late Night Fun After the Cotton Bowl Game

If you're looking for some late-night fun in Arlington, especially after the AT&T Cotton Bowl game, head on over Louie Louie's Dueling Piano Bar (located just a mile south of the stadium). The bar will be open until 2 a.m., making it a great part place for all fans - whether you've spent your night cheering for Missouri or Oklahoma State. Louie Louie's Dueling Piano Bar is located in the heart of Arlington's Entertainment District in Lincoln Square Shopping Center. Guests ages 21 & up can request songs, sing at the top of their lungs, and enjoy a club where the 'soup of the day' is always whiskey.

Jiggle Butt Run to Benefit SafeHaven Domestic Violence Shelter

Join hundreds of women and children Saturday morning at 9 a.m. when the Jiggle Butt Run invades College Park Center at The University of Texas at Arlington, 601 Spaniolo Dr., for a healthy run through surrounding neighborhoods in downtown Arlington. This event will benefit SafeHaven, the only domestic violence shelter in Tarrant County. Teams of five or more can register for $20 a person and individuals can sign up for $25 each. The Kid's Wiggle Butt 1 Mile Run is $15.

Basketball Doubleheader at UTA

Catch UT Arlington's Brandon Edwards, one of the top rebounders in the country, and the rest of the Mavs as they take on the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans at College Park Center. Tipoff is Saturday at 5 p.m. After the men play, cheer on the Lady Mavs as they play UALR women's basketball team at 7:30 p.m. Go Mavs! Tickets are available at: http://utatickets.com/.
