Rangers Fan Fest

Arlington Alliance for the Youth Hosts Youth Collaboration Breakfast

The annual youth collaboration breakfast is set for January 24. "Helping the youth reach their full potential" is their unwavering purpose. The breakfast venue is in the Arlington ISD Mac Bern Professional Development Center at 1111 W. Arbrook Blvd. Guests will enjoy progress reports from youth organizations and grants awarded for service projects. Arlington Police Assistant Police Chief Lauretta Hill will be the keynote speaker. Theatre Arlington Presents: Enchanted April

Theatre Arlington continues its 41st anniversary season with the Tony Award nominated play and John Gassner Award winner for Outstanding New American Play, "Enchanted April." Friday and Saturday's performances are at 8:00 p. m. Tickets are $22 for adults with discounts available for seniors, students and groups.

Rangers Fan Fest

AT&T's Texas Rangers Fan Fest will be held January 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Ballpark in Arlington. The event includes photo opportunities and autograph signing by current and former players. Players will give autographs to the first 5000 fans so get there on time. The tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 13.

Year of the Horse New Year's celebration

The festive celebration will be at the Southeast Branch Library Community Room from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This program is for families who wish to share and learn about Vietnamese and Chinese customs for the celebration of the New Year. Guests will be able to enjoy stories, displays and crafts.

Mobile Pet Adoption

Head on over to the grand opening of Pet Supermarket, 1112 N. Fielder Road, where the Arlington Animal Services Center will have its mobile pet adoption unit stocked with pets waiting for new homes. Mayor Robert Cluck will present a proclamation during Saturday's event, which is being held 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. There are several family-friendly activities planned as well.
