Two construction projects are underway in the City of Arlington to improve drainage in different neighborhoods. These projects will also affect daily traffic.

Arbrook-Melear Drainage Project to Cause Road Closure

Due to the construction of the Arbrook-Melear Drainage Project, Arbrook Blvd. from Bowen Road to Melear Drive will be closed to through traffic. Construction will continue Tuesday, January 21 through Friday, March 21. Homeowners will still have access to their homes. Roads just west of Glenbrook Drive will be completely closed as crews perform the construction work.

Crews will excavate the roadway, remove the existing culvert and install three new culverts. The water line and sanitary sewer line in this area will be replaced as well. Crews will then rebuild the road and provide a sidewalk to cross the creek. Click here for a map.
