Eduardo Avalos, a senior defender for the Arlington High School soccer team, has been selected as the City of Arlington's Student-Athlete of the Month for December.

Avalos, who plans to be a civil engineer, currently carries a 3.98 overall GPA on 4.0 scale. His success extended outside the classroom as well. Last season Eduardo was 1st team all-district and a TASCO (Texas Association of Soccer Coaches) Honorable Mention All-State player.
