25th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta

Sink or swim? That is the question. See some brave souls build and navigate boats made entirely of corrugated cardboard at Hurricane Harbor's Wave Pool this Saturday. A children's area with Hula-Hoop contests and mini pinewood Regatta will also be available. The cost to enter a boat is $50 - $80. Event day admission is $8. Lone Star Race

This race is Arlington's only half marathon, 10k and 5 kilometer event, taking participants on a scenic route around Globe Life Park, AT&T Stadium, Six Flags and several neighborhoods featuring a few rolling hills. Visithttp://www.thelonestarrace.org/ for more information.

Texas Food Truckin' Fest

Grab your family and friends and head over to the Texas Food Truckin' Fest on Friday (4-10 p.m.) and Saturday (noon to 10 p.m.) at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The food fest offers a line of gourmet food trucks with a variety of delicious dishes and desserts. Don't forget to bring your appetite! Friday admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under age 12. Saturday admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids. Bring a canned good for a discount.
