The Arlington Independent School District has earned the 2014 Best Communities for Music Education designation as a part of the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation's Best Communities for Music Education Program.

AISD is one of 376 school districts nationwide to earn the designation, and only one of 32 in the state of Texas.

"This honor as an outstanding community for music education is a national recognition in terms of the consistent support of Arlington ISD music stakeholders past and present," said Jeremy Earnhart, the AISD Director of Fine Arts. "AISD features world class programs in elementary music, band and choir, while orchestra specifically is an area of strength."
