"I am very honored to work in a great city," said Melton. "I look forward to working with the citizens of Arlington and continuing to play a key role in developing Arlington's future."

"Keith is a long tenured employee and a seasoned member of our executive team," said Interim City Manager Bob Byrd. "He has continually demonstrated his professional abilities within our organization over the last quarter of a century."

Melton is a University of Texas at Arlington graduate, earning his degree in Civil Engineering in 1983. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas and is a member of the American Public Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
