Dog of the Week – Meet Nixon
This six years old male Great Pyrenees mix is white in color and weighs 85 pounds. Nixon is a playful and energetic large dog and has been with us for almost a month. Unfortunately, he hasn't received the interaction with potential adopters he craves because he's not a fan of the adoption window, so he's in the back where visitors don't see him as much. He has a lot of pent-up energy and is always ready to play. Although he isn't very motivated by treats, he absolutely loves toys—especially squeaky ones and gets so excited when he hears a squeaky toy and responds by play bowing. Our big guy is heartworm positive, but with proper treatment and care, he can still live a happy and healthy life. For the month of July, all adoptions are available for $7.00. Don't delay-come adopt this wonderful dog-he needs a special someone who can give him the love and care he deserves. Meet Nixon at Dog Holding (DH) 101, his ID number is A56152042.
Dog of the Week – Meet Pixie
This three years old female Pit Bull Terrier mix is tan and white in color and weighs 54 pounds. Pixie is another canine resident that has spent nearly a month in the shelter. She is a somewhat timid but curious and friendly pup, always eager to explore her surroundings. You'll often find her army crawling towards you, showcasing her playful and endearing nature. Pixie can also be quite the talker, asking questions (in her own way) and waiting for your loving responses. Though initially shy, she does remarkably well on a leash and blossoms with confidence as she becomes more familiar with her environment. She's a happy-go-lucky pooch, always on the lookout for love and companionship. If you're searching for a loyal and affectionate friend, Pixie may be the perfect match for you. Give her the loving home she deserves, and she'll fill your life with endless joy and wagging tails! Meet Pixie at Dog Holding (DH) 113, her ID number is A56158119.
Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration and microchip.
