The Build a Dream Scholarship provides recreation opportunities for Arlington families
The Build a Dream and Camp Dream scholarships help make our programs and camps accessible to all income levels, ensuring that financial constraints don’t prevent anyone from participating in our programs. This July 1st opens the application process for the Build a Dream scholarship from Arlington Parks and Recreation.
The scholarship program is designed to provide recreation opportunities for Arlington families with children between the ages of four months and 14 years of age. Program eligibility requirements state that the family's income level must meet low-income criteria, and they must be residents of Arlington.
The idea is to give children the opportunity to register for any Arlington Parks and Recreation Department youth programs, such as music, dance, art classes, gymnastics, sports leagues, and after-school programs. Everyone who participates is encouraged to develop new skills, have social interaction, and take part in physical activity in a safe, positive environment.
The Build-a-Dream eligibility guidelines are available at www.naturallyfun.org, at your nearest recreation center or by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 817-459-5474. The application link will be available at www.naturallyfun.org on July 1st. A $5 application fee will be required to finalize your application. Income verification and registration for classes will be required at the time of application approval. Upload your documents online for faster processing. Up to two sessions of programs will be awarded per child. The scholarship is funded by the Community Development Block Grant.
