New Online Survey Open Through May 22, 2024, on Possible Locations for Farmers Market in Arlington
The City of Arlington is seeking additional input from residents, vendors, and farmers market operators, to gauge the best location for a potential farmers market, either in Downtown or in a public park location.
The City of Arlington is asking residents, existing famers market vendors, and farmers market operators to participate in a new online survey to continue exploring the feasibility of planting a new farmers market here in The American Dream City. The latest online surveys, available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese, will be open through Wednesday, May 22, 2024.

Arlington’s farmers market feasibility study is inspired by the success of established markets in the surrounding area. The Dallas-Fort Worth region is home to approximately 60 farmers markets, including the Dallas Farmers Market, Clearfork Farmers Market in Fort Worth, Cowtown Farmers Market in White Settlement and the Keller Farmers Market.
But before expending time, money, and labor on launching a new farmers market, the City first collected feedback from the community and potential vendors through online surveys in February and March on topics ranging from potential locations and operating hours to the types of products—such as fresh foods, baked goods, artisan crafts, pet items or plants—that should be sold. Participants provided feedback on features that should be offered, such as food trucks and dining tables, free parking, restrooms, or protection from the elements.
The City will present the new analysis to the Arlington City Council’s Community and Neighborhood Development Committee for evaluation in May and June 2024.
