City to Begin Poly Webb Road Improvements in West Arlington

The Public Works Department is pleased to announce that construction to transform Poly Webb Road (Pleasant Ridge Road to Shorewood) is scheduled to begin in May 2023.

This project, which is estimated to be completed by December 2024, includes the following improvements:

  •  Rebuilding the 2-lane county type asphalt roadway to a 2-lane concrete roadway with sidewalks.
  •  Installing new streetlights improvements, new traffic signs, and new pavement markings.
  •  Installing new underground storm drain infrastructure.
  •  Renewing water and sanitary sewer infrastructure along Poly Webb Road, Parkside Court, Johns Court, Kingsferry Drive, and Canal Court.
  •  A roundabout with center landscaping at the Bowman Springs Road intersection.

 The Public Works Department will be holding a public meeting on Thursday, May 18, 2023, to provide information on the Poly Webb Road (Pleasant Ridge Road to Shorewood Drive) construction project. This meeting will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the West Police District Community Room at the West Arlington Service Center, located at 2060 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington, Texas 76013. There will be a short presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
