Uncrated: Reimagining the Arlington Museum of Art, 1950-2025

From Saturday, April 1, 2023 until Sunday, May 14, 2023, the Arlington Museum of Art will present Uncrated: Reimagining the Arlington Museum of Art, 1950-2025, a retrospective of the museum’s evolution and a celebration of art and community partnerships through the decades. In the early 1900s, civic leaders in Arlington, Texas began creating a vision for promoting the visual arts and arts education as important community values. ¡Viva La Fiesta!

Celebrate ¡Viva La Fiesta! at Six Flags Over Texas with delicious foods, live shows, and more between Friday, April 7 and Sunday, May 7, 2023. There’s nothing quite like celebrating ¡Viva La Fiesta! at Six Flags Over Texas – a cultural celebration with live performances of Ballet Folklórico, Mariachi band and Tejano music. The park will come alive with folk art, colorful festoons, piñatas, papel picado décor, and more!

Little Explores – Downtown Library 

Stop by The Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills.  Join the Arlington Public Library as we playfully discover the world around us!  Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Texas High School Esports State Championship 

More than 500 students from across the state will compete this Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, 2023, in the first-of-its-kind Texas High School Esports State Championship at Esports Stadium Arlington, 1200 Ballpark Way. Individual and team participants in the event, which is free and open to the public to attend, will compete for medals and the title of undisputed state champion in League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rocket League, Valorant and Overwatch 2. Arlington ISD’s Martin High School Warriors Rocket League are among the teams competing for top honors. Click here to learn more. 

Intel Inspires 2023 Esports in Education Summit 

The Summit starts 4 p.m. Friday, April 28 and ends Sunday, April 30, 2023. Over three days, this free to attend event will attract more esports in education leaders than ever before, offering a series of keynote presentations, networking events, workshops, and tech showcases. Educators will learn actionable best practices from peers and thought leaders to optimize esports growth for both K-12 and highered programs.

Spring Artini 

If you love art and mingling with your friends over a charcuterie board, the Spring Artini is the perfect event for you. It takes place 6 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023. It is for those aged 21 and older. Click here for registration information. 

Friday Night Skate

Friday Night Skate is back 7 p.m. every Friday at Elzie Odom Athletic Center. This event is for ages 13 and younger, and the cost is $15 per child. Pre-registration is required. You will have a blast skating with your friends, playing games, and participating in skating activities throughout the evening! Two slices of pizza and a 12oz drink can be added on for an additional $5. Click here to register.

Grace Prep’s Annie! 

 Grace Preparatory Academy proudly presents, Annie, 7 p.m. Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Arlington Music Hall. For Friday’s ticket information, click here. The Arlington Garden Club's next plant sale of native and adapted perennial plants is Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fielder Museum.

Día de los Niños 

 Día de los Niños / Children's Day is a day to celebrate all children and cultures! Join the Arlington Public Library in this come and go event 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the East Library and Recreation Center to pick up your free book and enjoy some outdoor activities.

Creature Features: Meet Cosmo!

Join River Legacy Nature Center 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, for an outdoor Creature Features presentation to meet a Speckled King Snake. Learn about their adaptations, behavior, and lifestyle. Blankets and chairs are optional to bring. Bug spray is recommended prior to arrival. Participants will receive a registration confirmation prior to the event. Limited spaces are available. DreamFest 2023

Celebrating all that makes Arlington the American Dream City. DreamFest 2023 comes to the Levitt Pavilion Arlington 5 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023. There will be bounce houses, face painting, food vendors, retail vendors, backyard games and live free music. The event is free to attend. 

Zepeda vs Arboleda - WBA Continental Americas Lightweight Title

Golden Boy Promotions Presents: Zepeda vs Arboleda - WBA Continental Americas Lightweight Title 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at College Park Center. Tickets start at $30 and are on sale on the UTA Tickets’ website.  Knockout artist and undefeated pugilist William “El Camarón” Zepeda (27-0, 23 KOs) of San Mateo, Mexico will return to the ring after pulling an upset against Joseph Diaz, Jr. last October 2022 and is now scheduled to defend his WBA Continental Americas Lightweight Title against former world champion challenger of Curundu, Panama Jaime “Jaimito” Arboleda (19-2, 14 KOs). The two fighters will participate in a 12-round lightweight fight that is presented in association with Sampson Boxing.

Ventana Grille Spring Music Series: Italian Night
