The Annual Point in Time Count is a nationwide event held in January to provide a snapshot of what homelessness looks like in one night for every community in the country. This year’s count will take place on Jan. 26, 2023.

The Tarrant County Homeless Coalition is seeking up to 500 volunteers to count and survey people living in unsheltered settings throughout Tarrant and Parker counties.

Information collected during the count, held from 6 p.m. to midnight, will better help the organization understand what resources the community may need and to identify communitywide strategies to end homelessness. Those who are interested in volunteering can select Arlington, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, Northeast Tarrant or Parker County on the volunteer registration website. Volunteers can sign up as individuals or create a team. Mandatory training will be provided to all volunteers via the web and on the night of the count.
