A Knight’s Tale comes to the Arlington Museum of Art

Arlington Museum of Art’s newest exhibition is A Knight’s Tale. From the renowned collection of the Museo Stibbert in Florence, Italy, stunning examples of European arms and armor will fill our galleries this winter. One hundred and thirty rare objects, including full suits of armor, mounted equestrian figures, helmets, swords, and other weaponry, tell the tale of the European knight from the Middle Ages and Renaissance through the medieval revival of the nineteenth century. The exhibition explores the historical and functional contexts of arms and armor of this period while also highlighting the undeniable craftsmanship, beauty and artistic appeal. Q BBQ Fest at AT&T Stadium

America's Biggest Barbecue Festival comes to AT&T Stadium Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022 through Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022. In partnership with the Dallas Cowboys and Miller Lite, the Q BBQ Fest gathers the finest pitmasters from across Texas and throughout the country to dish out award-winning smoked meats to BBQ lovers at Miller Lite®House at AT&T Stadium. The family friendly Q BBQ Fest – which also hosts events in Kansas City, St. Louis, Denver and Jacksonville – is a weekend-long celebration of diverse experiences, award-winning cuisine, local music, BBQ tutorials and demonstrations, as well as games and activities for the whole family. James and the Giant Peach Jr. takes the Theatre Arlington stage 

 James and the Giant Peach Jr., an all-youth musical edition, takes the stage at Theatre Arlington starting Friday, Nov. 4, 2022. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach… and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James’ quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building. This musical is appropriate for ages 3 and up. Showtimes occur Fridays at 7:30 p.m. as well as Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $17, including a $2 online ticket processing fee. Discounts are available for groups. Purchase tickets on the Theatre Arlington website or their box office. The musical runs until Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022.

Commanders Classic at Globe Life Field

The Lockheed Martin Commanders’ Classic, presented by USAA, pits the epic matchup between Air Force Falcons and Army Black Knights at Globe Life Field 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022. This is the second year for the storied rivalry to be played at Globe Life Field, and the 57th meeting between the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Military Academy.
