Arlington’s Code Compliance office was recognized for its outstanding service and this is just one of the many ways Arlington continues working to Champion Great Neighborhoods, which the City Council has identified as one of six key priorities. Great neighborhoods contribute to a higher quality of life and greater investment in our economy.

Arlington’s Code Compliance is the recipient of the 2022 International Code Council (ICC) Community Service Award. The ICC Community Service Award recognizes outstanding service that promotes public health, safety and welfare. Code Compliance in Arlington has new innovative programs that increase community engagement, provide essential services and build public trust while helping create and sustain healthier, safer and more beautiful neighborhoods. Their newest initiative is their Tool Sharing Program which gives Arlington residents free use of tools and equipment to help with property cleanup and maintenance.

You can read more about the award, Code Compliance’s Tool Sharing Program and much more in the latest edition of the Champion Great Neighborhoods newsletter. All quarterly City Council priority newsletters are produced in a digital formal, allowing for layers of additional video content and important links.
Other updates include information about the design process for the voter-approved Fire Station No. 8 in North Arlington and the Keep Texas Beautiful Fall Sweep.
