In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Texas Rangers Baseball Club will celebrate the impact and contributions of the Hispanic people and culture at Globe Life Field.

The Rangers have several initiatives planned for this weekend’s games versus the Cleveland Guardians on Friday, September 23 at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, September 24 at 6:05 p.m.

As part of the Hispanic Heritage events, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will host prominent Hispanic leaders throughout the North Texas community at Friday’s game. Some notable guests expected to be in attendance include Al Zapanta, President & CEO, U.S./Mexico Chamber of Commerce; Anette Landeros, President & CEO, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Jean Claude Tissot, President & CEO, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages.

Additionally, during pre-game ceremonies on Saturday, Texas Rangers players Adolis García, Martín Pérez, Leody Taveras, José Leclerc, Jonathan Hernández, Jesús Tinoco, and Dennis Santana will participate in a Hispanic Heritage flag ceremony to recognize their home countries.

Joining players in the ceremony are Texas Rangers Hall of Famer Iván Rodríguez, strength and conditioning coach Jose Vazquez, assistant strength and conditioning coach Al Sandoval, massage therapist Raul Cardenas, Spanish radio announcers Eleno Ornelas and José Guzmán, and clubhouse attendants Fernando Montoya and Hector Rosales.

Throughout the season, the Rangers have celebrated the Hispanic culture and community through initiatives like the Viva Tejas event series, presented by Viva First, and the formation of the official Mariachi de los Texas Rangers. Viva Tejas, held one Saturday per month on the Globe Life Field North Plaza, highlights Hispanic traditions through food trucks, live music, partner activations, Hispanic vendors, and more.
