Dog of the Week – Meet Sheldon
This two-year-old male Retriever mix is black and white in color and weighs 55 pounds. Clocking in at over 40 days in the shelter, Sheldon can't believe he's still in the shelter. He's happy and playful and while his photo makes it look like he has no ears, we promise, he does have ears. They would really perk up if someone would come adopt him and give him a "furrever" home. He's been in the shelter for over 30 days, so he is ready to find out what a real "furrever" home and family is like to call his own. He would show a family what a "ham" he is. In his mind, he's a small dog--he doesn't always know his own strength when walking on leash. With a little patience and gentle correction his leash walking improves.
