Dogs of the week

Dog of the Week – Meet Sheldon

This two-year-old male Retriever mix is black and white in color and weighs 55 pounds. Clocking in at over 40 days in the shelter, Sheldon can't believe he's still in the shelter. He's happy and playful and while his photo makes it look like he has no ears, we promise, he does have ears. They would really perk up if someone would come adopt him and give him a "furrever" home. He loves interacting with the staff and volunteers that say "hi" to him and considers them his friends. Treats are also considered his "friends" as well. The command of "sit" is known and with a little practice he will probably get "lie down" mastered as well. Practice is key. He may get funny looks with that "no ears" smile of his while potential adopters move past him, but he doesn't let it get him down. Ready to show his "smarts", Sheldon is longing to be adopted by a new pet guardian. As a VIP pet, Sheldon is available at a reduced adoption fee. Meet Sheldon at Dog Adoptions (DA) 8, his ID number is A50735518.

Second Dog of the Week – Meet Big Show

This three-year-old male Retriever, Pit Bull Terrier mix is brown and white in color and weight 103 pounds. This is a BIG dog with a BIG name to live up to and his personality seems to match the description. He's been in the shelter for over 30 days, so he is ready to find out what a real "furrever" home and family is like to call his own. He would show a family what a "ham" he is. In his mind, he's a small dog--he doesn't always know his own strength when walking on leash. With a little patience and gentle correction his leash walking improves. Eager to please, Big Show is ready to be rewarded with treats and a good "pet". Open your heart and adopt Big Show to be your next furry friend. As a VIP pet his adoption fee is reduced. Meet Big Show at Dog Adoptions (DA) 27, his ID number is A50807488.

Adoption fees include all core vaccinations, alteration, microchip and 30 days free pet insurance.
