Dog of the Week – Meet Farley

This two-year-old male Shepherd mix is solid black in color and weighs 48 pounds. No one likes going to the dentist but adopting this dog who is so-o-o sweet might send you to the dentist with a toothache! He loves spending time outside sniffing everywhere taking his (sweet) time to see what's going on. Once he comes out of his shell, he makes friends easily. He appears to have a heart of gold and is just looking for the right fit in a family for his gentle soul. Our volunteers indicate he is a calm canine and walks well on a leash. As a heartworm positive dog, Farley needs a loving family to adopt him and follow up with heartworm treatments so he can live a long, full life. This ten-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix is brown and white in color and weighs 42 pounds. What a life story this canine could tell! While he is older (and wiser) it doesn't mean he can't show a spry side. He is eager to meet friends of all sizes and species. He has a keen curiosity of the world around him and wants to explore every nook and cranny, taking time for a rest here and there. When he gets a second wind, he's ready to go again and see what's around the next bend. Petting him on his haunches meets with his approval. His gentle affectionate personality would win anyone over.
