Popular Annual Financial Report

Do you want to see how your tax dollars are spent? Are you interested in learning about major economic development deals, infrastructure investments and new programs and initiatives that aim to improve the quality of life in The American Dream City?

If so, we invite you to take a few moments to review the City of Arlington's 2021 Popular Annual Financial Report. It's our version of a corporate annual report, condensed to a few pages of financial information and interesting stories about public and private investment, valuable programs and services happening here in Arlington.

In addition to learning more about how Arlington has begun implementing recommendations from the citizen-led Unity Council —including the selection of the City’s first Chief Equity Officer — you'll find dozens of success stories about the City’s continued work to Champion Great Neighborhoods, Enhance Regional Mobility, Put Technology to Work, Invest in Our Economy and Support Youth and Families.

You can read more about investments in our libraries and parks and recreation centers, the addition of the City’s first fleet of electric vehicles and the East Arlington free public Wi-Fi initiative. You can also learn more about the continued success of the citywide Via rideshare public transportation program, the launch of the Arlington RAPID self-driving vehicle public transportation service, funding for the Arlington Economic Development Corporation, and some of the many state and national honors the City received for its ongoing work to ensure Arlington is a great city to live, learn, work and play.

The Popular Annual Financial Report is a citizen-friendly financial report that uses narrative, photos and graphics to explain the information found in the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Both are published at the same time each year.
