Touch-A-Truck at the Oakridge School

Have fun taking pictures and playing on construction vehicles, a school bus, a police care and more at the Touch-A-Truck event at the Oakridge School 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022. It takes place in the Main Parking Lot. All events are free and hosted by the Community Engagement Office for The Oakridge and Larger Community. RSVP is preferred but not required at theoakridgeschool.org/community.  

Let’s Get Fishy With It with Arlington Parks and Recreation

Nothing says summer like a good day of fishing, and you’re invited to cast your reels. Join the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center for this all-ages event as they educate future anglers with setting up a fishing pole, baiting a hook, and learning how to cast. There will be fun nature-based activities for everyone to enjoy. The event is free to attend, and paid activities will also be available. Register by clicking here

Rangers host Nationals

Your Hometown Rangers host the Washington Nationals for a three-game set. First pitch slated for 7:05 Friday, June 24, 2022, 3:05 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, and 1:35 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022. Saturday afternoon, the first 15, 000 fans receive a 50th Anniversary Nolan Ryan Bobblehead.  Reserve your tickets on the Rangers’ website

26th UTA Annual Scholarship Powwow

Come out and have a good time while supporting our Native American Student Association scholarship 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Maverick Activities Center, located at 500 W. Nedderman Dr. in Arlington. Watch the Dance Contests,  including Fancy Dance, Fancy Shawl, Men's Straight, Men's Fancy Dance, Northern Traditional, Jr. Girls Combined. There is over $3,400 in prize money. Plus: Indian Tacos, Arts & Crafts, Tiny Tots contest, Best Ribbon Skirt/Shirt contest. Admission is free for entire family! Click here for more information

Summer 2022 on Abram: 1 Street, 3 Galleries

Come out 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, and enjoy an evening of original art at three galleries all on Abram St. (west of Cooper St.). The featured galleries are, The Upstairs Gallery, located at 1038 W. Abram St, Kar-Lynn Art & Frames, located at 1051 W. Abram St., and College Renaissance Center, located at 1209 W. Abram St. Original works are presented in abstracts, figurative, and fine art photography. 

Wings defend homecourt against Mercury

Your professional women’s basketball team, the Wings, face off against the Phoenix Mercury 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022. Ticket information can be found on the Wings’ website

Tommy DeCarlo and Rudy Cardenas at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington 

On top of the 50 free concerts at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington, they also have ticketed shows, and Saturday, June 25, 2022 is one you don’t want to miss. Tommy DeCarlo of the legendary rock band Boston and Rudy Cardenas of American Idol bring a two-set show to the Levitt with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Lance Battalion opens for the pair at 7:30 p.m. Chairs will be provided with concessions for this event.
