Due to staffing shortages, Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center and Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center will be operating with reduced capacity on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12.

Bad Königshofen Family Aquatic Center and Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center will be open Saturday 12-7 PM and Sunday 1-6 PM. East Indoor Pool will have Open Swim hours on Saturday 1:30-6 PM and Sunday 3-6 PM. Howard Moore will be open on Saturday from 1-5 PM and closed on Sunday. Allen Bolden Flat Body Pool, Helen Wessler Play Pool, and the Woodland West Flat Body Pool will be closed on both Saturday and Sunday.

The priority of Arlington Parks and Recreation is providing a safe swim environment for the community with adequate staff that meets the needs of pool visitors. Staffing levels are almost at one-third of what they would typically be on a regular year, so Arlington Aquatics will open pools with reduced capacity. The Parks and Recreation Department recently developed the Bakari Williams Protocol, which puts additional checks and balances in place for aquatics facility maintenance, and also made recommended upgrades to the aquatics facilities’ chemical testing, controllers, and secondary sanitation systems to ensure facilities are safe for public use.
