Willa Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at the Arlington Music Hall 

Grace Prep Fine Arts Department invites you to join them for a scrumdiddlyuptious experience as their students bring Willy Wonka to the stage at Arlington Music Hall 7:00 p.m. Friday, Apr. 29, 2022 and Saturday, Apr. 30, 2022. Ronald Dahl’s classic story about the world-famous candy man and the fantastic chaos that ensues when Wonka opens the gates to his chocolate factory to five lucky kids and their parents for a tour. The delicious adventures of Charlie and the other kids light up the stage in this enchanting tale full of music, laughs, life lessons, and pure imagination. Be sure to get your golden ticket to the all-musical. It is guaranteed to delight your sweet tooth!

Rangers’ Homestand against Braves

Your hometown Rangers continue their homestand this weekend against the Atlanta Braves. First pitch for the three-game set at Globe Life Field: 7:05 p.m. Friday, Apr. 29, 2022; 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 30, 2022; 1:35 p.m. Sunday, May 1. You can purchase tickets in advance on the Rangers’ website

Art in the Park at Bob Cooke Park 

Bring the whole family to this arts & crafts market at Bob Cooke Park 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 30, 2022. You will find a showcase of unique handcrafted items that will make great gifts. Día De Los Niños at the East Library and Recreation Center 

Día de los Niños / Children's Day is a day to celebrate all children and cultures! Join the Arlington Public Library 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 30, 2022 at the East Library and Recreation Center for in this come and go event to pick up your free book and enjoy some outdoor activities. 

Jackals defend homefield against Legion

Your hometown professional rugby club, the Jackals, faceoff against the San Diego Legion 7:00 p.m.  Saturday, Apr. 30, 2022 at Choctaw Stadium. Tickets can be purchased in advance on the Jackals’ website. Saturday’s match is also UTA Night with the Jackals. You can show UTA Mavs School Pride at the match. Mark Lowry at Arlington Music Hall

Singer, songwriter, author, and humorist Mark Lowry, best known for penning the lyric to the Christmas classic “Mary Did You Know?” and singing baritone for the GRAMMY© Award-winning Gaither Vocal Band for many years, is set to perform 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the Arlington Music Hall. Lowry, who’s entertained audiences since he was 11 years old, has a unique gift of communicating profound Biblical truths through music and storytelling.
