El Día de los Niños: A Day for Children Around the World

The Arlington Public Library invites families to celebrate Día de Los Niños (Children’s Day) on Saturday, April 30, 2022, from noon to 3 p.m. at the East Library and Recreation Center located at 1817 New York Ave. Día de los Niños is a nationally recognized celebration for children all over the world. The goal of this event is to encourage children from all cultural backgrounds to come together for some family-friendly fun.

Enjoy the celebration at this come-and-go event. There will be multilingual storytimes in Portuguese, Swahili and Vietnamese. Don’t miss the The Bubble Bus provided by Amigos en Azul and firetrucks from Lonestar Bomberos. Enjoy free hot dogs donated by District 2 Council member Raul Gonzalez. Tarrant County Public Health will be on site to administer Covid-19 vaccines and booster shots, with Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson available. Please see vaccine requirements for children.

Take home free books for children courtesy of CAPO and Canales Furniture Family will have giveaways during the event. The Grace Hula dancers are doing a special performance. Fun crafts and games for children will be provided throughout.

Save the date for Saturday, April 30 from noon to 3 p.m., and enjoy an afternoon of fun multicultural activities.
